In chapter 6 we meet Ronald Franz. This man was truely inspired by Chris. Chris tells him to sell his posessions and live freely in the desert. I think the lesson we can learn from this chapter is that we should be happy with what is already in the world and we don't need material posessions to be happy. In chapter 7 we hear from Wayne Westerburg again. He talks about how he could use Chris' help with harvesting. Westerburg's mom only talked to chris once, but in the few hours she was positively changed by him. Chris was very popular in the town of Carthage and everyone seemed said to see him go. This chapter shows that we can change sombody's life even if we just walk in and out of it. In chapter 8 the life lesson is to always be prepared. The cases of the people described in this chapter die because they are unprepared when they leave to live the wild life. Each individual has a certain skill but still doesn't foresee that they don't posess the proper equipment to survive. The life lesson we can take from chapter 9 is that we should be more independant. The social stubility of these people is a see-saw that falls the wrong way. All these people seem to be very sociable and have had a god life, but they somehow stray from it to live on their own. We need to be less reliant on our family and friends to be able to make it through the hardships of life.
